Job Summary

To ensure compliance and accuracy in clinical documentation, the full-time Colorado Licensed Clinical Doc Specialist will review medical records, input data into software, and educate healthcare team members on documentation regulations while working remotely.

Key responsibilities
  • Reviews concurrent medical records for compliance, completeness, and accuracy regarding severity of illness and risk of mortality
  • Educates patient-care team members on documentation regulations and guidelines, ensuring effective communication with physicians and healthcare providers
  • Recognizes opportunities for documentation improvement and formulates clinically credible clarifications for inpatients
Required qualifications
  • 5+ years of acute care nursing experience in medical/surgical, intensive care, post-acute care, or emergency department settings
  • Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNPC), Registered Nurse (RN), or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license required
  • Strong knowledge of pathophysiology, disease processes, and treatments
  • Experience as a Clinical Documentation Specialist preferred
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred
