Job Summary

Supporting and leading quality assurance for Coding Services staff, the full-time remote Coding Quality Assurance Specialist will conduct regular audits of CPT/ICD10 coding selections, assist in coding analysis, provide coder feedback, and develop educational presentations based on audit results.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a coding expert for assigned specialties and maintain records of all audits for reference and trending
• Audit new and existing coders in accordance with Coding Services Department standards, identifying areas for education
• Collaborate with leadership to prepare and present educational materials based on audit findings and trends

Required qualifications

• CPC or AHIMA coding certification required; CPMA certification is a plus
• 2-4 years of experience in a dedicated auditing position
• Strong knowledge of CPT and ICD 10 coding standards
• Skilled in navigating EMR systems and auditing software
