Job Summary
To enhance coding education for healthcare professionals, the part-time Colorado Licensed Coding Education Specialist will provide formal and informal coding and regulatory education to Physicians, Residents, and Advanced Practice Providers in a fully remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Design, create, and update educational materials related to coding and documentation requirements
- Conduct educational sessions and follow-up reviews to assess and address additional training needs
- Collaborate with internal departments to manage new provider orientation and respond to training requests
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3+ years of education experience, preferably in provider education
- CPC or CCS certification required; CPMA certification preferred (to be obtained within 1 year of hire)
- Ability to effectively present to large audiences
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
