Job Summary

The full-time Colorado Licensed Criminal Investigator will conduct complex financial and background investigations for sports betting licenses, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while working remotely with occasional travel as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct complex financial and background investigations of individuals and entities seeking sports betting licenses
• Perform criminal investigations related to licensing violations and hidden ownership schemes
• Prepare detailed reports and present findings to the Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission

Required qualifications

• Eight years of full-time professional investigative or financial experience in a regulatory environment
• Current valid Colorado POST Certification at the time of application
• Experience in conducting complex investigations involving financial matters
• Ability to analyze regulatory, business, and criminal matters related to licensing suitability
• Must pass a background investigation and psychological evaluation prior to appointment
