Colorado Licensed DRG Coder IV

Job Summary

A company is looking for a DRG Coder IV- PRN who must reside in Colorado.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical record documentation to abstract and assign diagnoses, procedures, and modifiers for coding and reimbursement
• Participate in coder and provider education, documentation improvement efforts, and assist in training and quality assurance
• Follow departmental procedures and ensure confidentiality of patient information while working collaboratively within the coding team

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Five years of medical coding experience with multi-specialty experience or specialty certification required
• Two years of experience in an academic setting required
• CCS-Certified Coding Specialist certification required
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM diagnosis coding, PCS, and DRG coding required
