Job Summary
Managing a portfolio of environmental and related casualty insurance accounts, the full-time Colorado Licensed Environmental Underwriter will underwrite new and renewal business, assess risks, and maintain broker relationships while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrites new and renewal environmental and casualty business, analyzing policy forms and broker requests according to underwriting standards
- Evaluates risks to determine coverage limits, premiums, and policy terms while ensuring compliance with regulations
- Builds and maintains professional relationships with brokers, creating customized insurance solutions and maximizing portfolio retention
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Environmental and General Liability Package Underwriting
- Must meet minimum requirements for state P&C and/or surplus line licenses
- Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation is a plus
