Job Summary
To support the fire protection engineering team, a Colorado Licensed Fire Protection Engineer will work remotely in a full-time capacity, performing professional-level engineering services, developing plans and specifications, and assisting in design problem resolution.
Key responsibilities
- Perform fire protection engineering services such as life safety code consulting and sprinkler design under the guidance of a licensed engineer
- Develop plans, specifications, and inspection reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to professional standards
- Conduct building code analyses and reviews for fire detection systems, smoke control, and sprinkler systems, including hydraulic calculations
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Civil, Architectural Engineering, or a related field
- 0-3 years of experience in fire protection engineering or a related area
- Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills
- Strong interest in advancing safety science and exceeding client expectations
