Job Summary

Providing essential genetic counseling services, the PRN Colorado Licensed Genetic Counselor will evaluate family histories, conduct risk assessments, and recommend medical or genetic testing while working remotely as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Collects, reviews, and interprets family and medical histories, medical records, and test results
• Coordinates testing and communicates results to patients and referring healthcare providers
• Develops genetic counseling plans, including risk assessments, referrals, and education for patients and their families

Required qualifications

• Certified Genetic Counselor, renewed every 5 years
• Master of Science in Genetic Counseling or applicable degree for ABGC board certification
• Preferred experience as a Genetic Counselor
• Working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking
