Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Colorado Licensed Health Benefits Counselor will manage patient financial assessments, verify insurance coverage, and facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure eligibility for financial assistance programs.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate patient financial information to determine eligibility for charity programs and payment arrangements
• Verify coverage and authorization for scheduled procedures using scheduling and registration information
• Act as a liaison between patients, physicians, and various healthcare departments to gather necessary information for benefit authorization

Required qualifications

• 6 months of healthcare experience
• Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding
• Understanding of medical terminology and customer service skills
• Preferred knowledge of registration, billing, and credit scoring
• High School Diploma or GED required; CPR Certification as required by the facility
