Colorado Licensed Patient Account Associate

Job Summary

Processing claims in a fully remote capacity, the full-time Colorado Licensed Patient Account Associate will manage electronic and paper claims within EPIC, monitor unbilled claims, and act as a Subject Matter Expert while supporting team onboarding and cross-training efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Process all claims timely to ensure accurate medical coverage and resolve patient account work queues
• Monitor unbilled outstanding claims and collaborate with the Clearinghouse to address system issues
• Support onboarding and training of team members while coordinating with IT and clearinghouse vendors

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• One (1) year of experience in a high-volume processing position or medical billing office, or Billing/Coding certification/training
• Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing regulations
• Familiarity with EPIC medical billing software preferred
• Two (2) years of experience in medical processing is preferred
