Job Summary
Providing exceptional customer service, the full-time Colorado Licensed Patient Account Specialist will manage payment postings, resolve account discrepancies, and ensure accurate billing processes while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and balance payment details, posting all payments to patient accounts using electronic and manual systems
- Research and validate payment postings, following up on missing information to achieve account resolution
- Collaborate with other teams and participate in meetings to meet departmental productivity and quality goals
Required qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year of full cycle medical billing experience
- At least six (6) months in a healthcare Cash Posting role
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and modifiers
- Experience with insurance claim appeals and the ability to interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
