Colorado Licensed Payroll Accountant

Job Summary

To ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees, the full-time Colorado Licensed Payroll Accountant will manage payroll-related functions, including reviewing timecards, reconciling payroll accounts, and assisting with the implementation of a new payroll system in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Compile and calculate monthly and biweekly payroll, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with internal and external requirements
• Reconcile payroll accounts to identify discrepancies and ensure proper payroll distribution
• Assist employees with payroll inquiries and provide training on payroll systems as needed

Required qualifications

• Six years of relevant experience in accounting or payroll, or a combination of education and experience totaling six years
• Completion of 27 semester hours in accounting or auditing coursework
• Current, valid CPA licensure by the Colorado Board of Accountancy counts towards experience requirements
• Demonstrated experience using payroll systems and accounting software
• Ability to maintain employee confidentiality and handle sensitive information
