Job Summary

To support families in their breastfeeding journey, the part-time Colorado Licensed Peer Counselor will provide basic breastfeeding education and support to WIC participants primarily through phone and text communication, with some in-clinic interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one basic breastfeeding education and support to WIC participants
• Counsel clients using phone, text messaging, and other approved communication methods
• Educate clients on breastfeeding benefits and infant feeding basics while maintaining accurate client records

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must have breastfed at least one baby for a minimum of six months
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and texting platforms
• Ability to manage a caseload and maintain confidentiality
