Job Summary
To support a growing practice in Addiction Medicine, the full-time Colorado Licensed Physician Assistant will provide virtual patient care, including clinical assessments and medication management for individuals with substance use disorders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing management of patients seeking Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid or alcohol use disorder through Telehealth
- Prescribe and monitor MAT medications, ensuring appropriate dosing and adherence while monitoring for potential side effects
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations, to evaluate patient needs and treatment progress
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in nursing (APRN), physician assistant (PA), or a related field
- Active, unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with active DEA registration
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, with at least 0.5 years in addiction medicine or MAT clinics
- In-depth knowledge of MAT protocols and treatment for substance use disorders
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with a background in Telehealth preferred
