Colorado Licensed Power Systems Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Power Systems Engineer - Distribution Planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform system planning, modeling, analysis, and project-focused engineering tasks related to distribution systems
• Develop plans for addressing aging distribution infrastructure and integrating distributed energy resources (DER) technologies
• Provide guidance and expertise to other engineers and ensure the accuracy of technical studies and reports

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, or related discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in evaluating Distribution System performance and simulating power flows
• Experience with power system analysis tools such as CYME, Synergi, or PSSE
• Experience with scripting tools including Python, MATLAB, or Excel
• Professional Engineer License or the ability to obtain one within one year
