Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Attorney to engage in legal advocacy and litigation to protect biological diversity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and litigate cases under various federal environmental laws to protect wildlife and habitats
• Advise staff on legal questions and legislative matters while supervising and mentoring junior legal staff
• Collaborate across departments to create written products that support conservation efforts

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and appropriate state bar license(s) required
• 10 years of relevant legal experience, including 5 years in a supervisory role
• Substantial knowledge of federal environmental laws, including the Endangered Species Act and National Environmental Policy Act
• Experience litigating in federal courts and reviewing administrative actions
• Demonstrated commitment to public interest advocacy and environmental protection
