Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Account Associate to provide exceptional customer service and manage account handling processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and document payment details, making adjustments to payment postings as necessary
• Initiate and manage payer recoupments, refunds, and follow up to ensure account resolution
• Navigate payer claim portals and interpret payer contracts to ensure accurate account coding

Required Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of revenue cycle and health insurance payers
• Experience in reading and understanding payer contracts and EOBs
• Proficient in payment handling and coordination of benefits
• Ability to train and mentor new and existing associates
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
