Job Summary

Reviewing tax returns and account information, the full-time Colorado Tax Examiner I will analyze discrepancies, process account adjustments, and provide guidance to taxpayers while primarily working remotely with occasional on-site meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Review tax returns, payments, and account records to identify errors and discrepancies
• Research and resolve account issues by analyzing financial records and documentation
• Provide guidance to taxpayers regarding tax laws and filing requirements

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
• Two years of experience in a customer service environment
• Experience in an occupation related to Accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis
