Commerce Services Engineer
Job Summary
To support a global retail client, the remote Commerce Services Engineer will design and implement cloud-native RESTful APIs for e-commerce platforms while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a contract-to-hire role.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in back-end development efforts for a robust e-commerce platform
- Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs using proven design principles
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, product, and other teams as needed
Required qualifications
- 4-6 years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years in back-end systems
- 1+ years of experience building scalable RESTful APIs
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and data structures
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience with Java, JEE technologies, and related frameworks
