Commerce Services Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a Commerce Services Engineer for a remote contract position, this role will design and implement cloud-native RESTful APIs to enhance digital checkout experiences and support e-commerce platforms while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in back-end development for a robust e-commerce platform
- Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs using established design principles
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, product, and other teams in an Agile/Scrum environment
Required qualifications
- 4-6 years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in back-end systems
- 1+ years of experience building scalable RESTful APIs
- Strong knowledge of Java, JEE technologies, Spring, and related frameworks
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
- Experience with e-commerce payment services and CI/CD tools is preferred
