Commerce Services Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a remote Commerce Services Engineer for a 6-month contract position, this role will design and implement cloud-native RESTful APIs to enhance digital checkout experiences and support e-commerce workflows while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in back-end development efforts for a robust e-commerce platform
- Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs using established design principles
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, product, and other teams as needed
Required qualifications
- 4-6 years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years in back-end systems
- 1+ years of experience building scalable RESTful APIs
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience with Java, JEE technologies, Spring, and cloud environments such as AWS or Azure
