Commerce Services Engineer
Job Summary
To support a global retail client, the remote Commerce Services Engineer will design and implement cloud-native RESTful APIs for digital checkout experiences and e-commerce integrations while working on a contract-to-hire basis.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in back-end development efforts for a robust e-commerce platform
- Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs using established design principles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance and product, in an Agile/Scrum environment
Required qualifications
- 4-6 years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years focused on back-end systems
- 1+ years of experience building scalable RESTful APIs
- Strong knowledge of Java, JEE technologies, and Spring frameworks
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
