Commercial and Personal Lines Underwriter

Job Summary

Evaluating and underwriting both commercial and personal lines of new and renewal business submissions, the full-time salaried Commercial and Personal Lines Underwriter will work remotely, assessing risk characteristics, determining pricing and coverage options, and maintaining strong relationships with independent agents.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and underwrite commercial and personal lines submissions in accordance with underwriting guidelines
• Assess risk characteristics to determine appropriate pricing and coverage options
• Negotiate terms with producers and maintain compliance with underwriting policies and regulatory requirements

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in property and casualty insurance
• Strong understanding of personal and commercial lines of insurance
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field preferred
• Proficient knowledge of coverage forms and endorsements
• Professional designations (e.g., CPCU, AU, ARM) are a plus
