Commercial Counsel

Job Summary

To support a growing business, the part-time Commercial Counsel will draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance sales velocity and mitigate risks in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the contract lifecycle by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial agreements
• Enable sales velocity by partnering with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance to streamline deal processes
• Provide actionable legal guidance to internal stakeholders, translating legal language into business impact

Required qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in commercial contracting (law firm or in-house)
• Experience in reviewing and negotiating B2B SaaS and/or enterprise commercial agreements
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership
• Strong familiarity with common contracting areas such as liability, indemnity, and data privacy
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
