Commercial Counsel

Job Summary

To support the company's global sales organization, the remote Commercial Counsel will provide pragmatic legal advice, review and negotiate commercial agreements, and manage legal risks associated with customer and channel transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Build effective working relationships with Sales and other business stakeholders to support customer and channel transactions
• Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements while escalating complex issues as necessary
• Provide commercially focused legal advice to ensure legal, regulatory, privacy, and commercial risks are identified and managed

Required qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with approximately 3-8+ years of post-qualification experience in a leading law firm or in-house legal department
• Experience with commercial contracts, ideally in software, SaaS, or cloud technology
• Strong drafting, contract review, and negotiation skills
• Understanding of privacy and data protection issues in commercial technology transactions
• Ability to manage a high volume of matters and prioritize effectively
