Commercial Counsel
Job Summary
As the first full-time in-house Commercial Counsel, this remote position will manage day-to-day legal work, lead commercial contracting with health systems and life sciences partners, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the legal counterpart to the Commercial team for all commercial deals, overseeing IP, data, and liability positions
- Coordinate with outside counsel on regulatory and compliance matters while establishing processes for commercial legal work
- Maintain oversight of contractual obligations and ensure timely closure of health system deals
Required Qualifications
- JD and active bar membership
- 7+ years of experience in a healthcare or life sciences legal role, with significant in-house experience
- Experience negotiating enterprise contracts related to IP ownership, data use, and liability terms
- Knowledge of Anti-Kickback Statute and fair market value compliance in a healthcare context
- Experience building legal infrastructure in a fast-paced startup environment
