Commercial Counsel (Contract)

Job Summary

To support its U.S. commercial legal team, a part-time contract Commercial Counsel (Contract) will draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements while collaborating with sales, finance, and marketing teams in a remote environment for approximately 15 hours per week over a 12-month duration.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of U.S. commercial agreements to support business operations
• Provide legal guidance on commercial contracting, regulatory compliance, and business risk management
• Independently manage the contract review and negotiation process, escalating high-risk issues as necessary

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar membership in good standing, or a bachelor's degree with paralegal certification and significant commercial contracts experience
• 3-5+ years of commercial contracts experience within the medical device, biotech, or life sciences industry
• Strong understanding of commercial contracting and legal issues affecting regulated healthcare businesses
• Experience developing contract processes, playbooks, and legal knowledge resources
• Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems and Salesforce
