Job Summary

Managing complex commercial negotiations, the full-time Commercial Counsel - Healthcare IT will draft, review, and negotiate various agreements in the healthcare technology sector while ensuring compliance with applicable data privacy laws, including HIPAA.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate technology contracts, including SaaS subscription agreements and vendor agreements, while driving standardization and risk mitigation
• Serve as an escalation point for complex deal issues and collaborate cross-functionally to facilitate timely negotiations
• Maintain knowledge of privacy laws and negotiate agreements within their boundaries, ensuring compliance with security and legal guidelines

Required qualifications

• JD and active bar membership in at least one U.S. state
• 4+ years of experience as a qualified lawyer in the technology sector or at a leading law firm, focusing on complex transactions
• Solid understanding of corporate, commercial, and intellectual property law, particularly in technology-related subscription agreements
• Demonstrated knowledge of applicable data privacy laws, including HIPAA
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams while providing clear legal guidance to stakeholders
