Commercial Counsel (Licensed Attorney)

Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the full-time remote Commercial Counsel (Licensed Attorney) will manage and negotiate a high volume of commercial agreements, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and business objectives while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft, negotiate, and revise various commercial agreements, including SaaS subscriptions and vendor contracts, within an SLA-driven environment
• Leverage AI and legal technology to streamline contracting processes and enhance productivity
• Provide legal guidance to internal teams during deal cycles and mentor stakeholders on negotiation best practices

Required qualifications

• JD with admission to at least one bar
• 2+ years of in-house experience, preferably in a SaaS company
• Experience managing a substantial volume of contracts in a fast-paced legal environment
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate commercial agreements while balancing legal protections with business objectives
• Familiarity with data privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA
