Commercial Counsel State Bar Association Legal Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Commercial Counsel State Bar Association Legal Director to manage legal-related commercial work, including sales contracting and negotiations, and provide legal advice and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts
• Manage contract process with customers, partners, and vendors
• Act as the central point of contact for all new and updated commercial agreements

Required Qualifications:

• JD from an accredited law school and a member in good standing of the candidate's state of residence State Bar Association
• 8-10 years experience as an attorney, with 3+ years relevant experience in an in-house environment, with software or technology industry experience
• Ability to negotiate, draft, and review commercial contracts
• Understanding of data governance and regional laws such as GDPR, CCPA
• Knowledge of privacy and data security law
