Commercial Counsel - State Licensed

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Commercial Counsel with expertise in entertainment and creative industry legal matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate various production and creative agreements, including SAG-AFTRA and talent contracts
• Advise teams on legal risks and deal strategies, particularly regarding AI-related issues
• Assist in implementing scalable policies for production and creative contract management

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active bar membership in at least one US jurisdiction
• 5+ years of legal experience, with a minimum of 4 years in entertainment or creative commercial transactions
• Experience with drafting and negotiating production, music licensing, and influencer agreements
• Familiarity with SAG-AFTRA rules and AI-related legal issues in a creative context
