Commercial Counsel - State Licensed

Job Summary

Owning the full lifecycle of commercial agreements, the remote Commercial Counsel - State Licensed will draft, review, and negotiate various contracts while collaborating closely with the Sales team and other departments to support Apollo's growth in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate master data services agreements and other commercial contracts to facilitate revenue deals
• Conduct first-line reviews of customer order forms, ensuring swift resolution of issues to maintain deal momentum
• Develop scalable legal processes and resources to enhance the contracting experience for go-to-market teams

Required qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state
• 7+ years of law firm or in-house experience focused on commercial transactions or contracts
• Experience in drafting and negotiating MDSAs and DPAs within a SaaS context
• Proven ability to build scalable legal infrastructure, including playbooks and templates
• Demonstrated experience integrating AI into legal workflows for efficiency and effectiveness
