Job Summary
Providing proactive legal counsel in a remote full-time capacity, the Commercial Counsel - State Licensed will draft, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial agreements while collaborating with business leaders and stakeholders to support compliance and product development in a regulated environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Draft, negotiate, and manage commercial and government agreements including enterprise SaaS and data contracts
- Negotiate with large enterprise and government customers, balancing speed-to-close with risk mitigation
- Build strong relationships with leadership and stakeholders to support business goals and product development
Required qualifications:
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and qualified to practice law in the state of residence
- 3+ years of relevant experience in commercial, product, technology, or regulated-industry law
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills with a proven track record of closing complex agreements
- Working knowledge of data privacy concepts and privacy-forward contracting
- Experience in health tech, data, SaaS, analytics, or regulated technology environments is preferred
