Commercial Counsel - State Licensed

Job Summary

To support a growing legal function, the full-time Commercial Counsel - State Licensed will draft and negotiate revenue-critical commercial agreements, manage complex deals, and partner across various business units while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and close commercial agreements central to the business
• Support corporate governance, compliance, and various legal matters as they arise
• Build and refine legal templates, playbooks, and approval workflows to enhance operational efficiency

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably with training at a top-tier law firm
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. state
• Background in corporate or commercial law, ideally with experience advising startups or tech companies
• Strong foundation in commercial contracts and corporate matters, or ability to develop quickly
• Openness to an AI-native way of working and enthusiasm for modern legal tools
