Job Summary

Leading a team of Centralized Commercial Credit Officers, the full-time salaried Commercial Credit Team Lead will oversee loan approvals for business purpose and commercial real estate loans, ensuring compliance with policies while working remotely from MD, VA, NC, or DC.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily activities of the Centralized Commercial Credit Team, ensuring timely customer service and workflow monitoring
• Evaluate financial statements and prepare independent credit evaluations for complex business loans, determining approval or decline
• Provide coaching and training to team members, ensuring consistency and quality in underwriting analyses and decision-making

Required qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business field
• Seven or more years of banking experience with a focus on credit analysis or commercial banking
• Prior management experience is preferred
• Prior loan approval authority is highly preferred
• Advanced knowledge of loan documentation and banking principles, procedures, and practices
