Commercial Credit Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Commercial Credit Underwriter - Acquisition & Wholesale Transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite acquisition and wholesale transactions, including structured financing, loan purchases, and participations
• Conduct financial analysis of borrowers, guarantors, and counterparties, focusing on C&I and CRE credit exposure
• Prepare credit memos and present findings and recommendations to the credit committee

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in credit analysis or underwriting, specifically in C&I and CRE lending
• Experience underwriting acquisition or wholesale transactions, including secondary market or loan purchase activity
• Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and collateral valuation
• Familiarity with credit policy development and regulatory compliance requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling; experience with loan origination or underwriting systems preferred
