Commercial Energy Title Examiner

Job Summary

Working remotely as a contractor, the Commercial Energy Title Examiner will conduct comprehensive title searches, identify and resolve defects, and ensure property titles are clear for utility or construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough title searches and resolve title defects for energy projects
• Provide expert support on sovereignty title, mineral/royalty, leasehold, and title insurance requirements
• Prepare and review legal documents and initial Energy Reports for accuracy and completeness

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Landman/Energy Title Examiner or equivalent
• At least 3 years' experience as a Commercial Title Examiner or equivalent
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
• Working knowledge of commercial and energy title processes
• Experience with industry-recognized title platforms, preferably RamQuest and Integrity Title Plant
