Commercial Fleet Insurance Underwriter

Job Summary

As a full-time remote Commercial Fleet Insurance Underwriter, the candidate will evaluate new and renewal business, set premiums, and communicate underwriting information while adhering to company policies and state regulations, with occasional travel required.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal business to understand pricing components
• Train and mentor underwriters on complex topics and handle escalations
• Assist with guideline updates and support underwriting consistency through calibration discussions

Required qualifications

• High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher with a minimum of seven years of relevant commercial lines, insurance industry, and/or underwriting experience, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of four years of relevant experience
• Experience in Commercial Auto underwriting, including broader coverage or package level review
• Account level underwriting experience across multiple lines of business
• Familiarity with Underwriting Workbench platforms
