Job Summary
Coordinating and executing strategic underwriting projects, the full-time Commercial Lines Consultant will leverage data for analysis and decision-making while collaborating across various functional areas to drive profitability and enhance corporate strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Manage multi-phase, cross-functional projects focused on underwriting profitability and workflow efficiency
- Conduct research and analysis to support strategic initiatives and communicate project impacts to stakeholders
- Develop and maintain underwriting protocols and collaborate on insurance product enhancements in response to emerging issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred
- CPCU designation or continuing education in the insurance industry is preferred
- Eight to ten years of experience in the property and casualty industry, including three to five years in underwriting
- Department-level project management experience with formal project management methodology
- Comprehensive knowledge of the underwriting function and commercial lines products
