Commercial Lines Insurance Underwriter

Job Summary

To support the Commercial Lines team, the full-time Commercial Lines Insurance Underwriter will collaborate with Business Services Specialists and Customer Service Representatives to analyze coverage, process submission packets, and provide renewal quotes while ensuring timely documentation and communication.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with BSSs and CSRs to ensure submission packets are complete and forwarded to the marketplace for quotes
• Assist in the analysis and evaluation of new risks, preparing proposals and ensuring accurate documentation in the agency management system
• Maintain market relationships and stay informed about market offerings to obtain accurate quotes efficiently

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience with a minimum of 3 years in the insurance industry; an Associate degree is a plus
• Valid P&C License preferred
• Basic knowledge of P&C coverages and insurance products
• Proficient in completing Acord forms and navigating agency management systems
• Strong data entry skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
