Commercial Roofing Consultant

Job Summary

Working remotely as an independent contractor, the Commercial Roofing Consultant will review drone and aerial imagery of large commercial roofs to identify and classify defects, define severity levels, and provide insights to improve the assessment framework of the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Identifying and classifying defects visible from drone and aerial imagery
• Defining severity levels for each defect type
• Advising on urgent repair triggers versus monitoring or replacement recommendations

Required qualifications

• Hands-on commercial roofing inspection experience, specifically with flat and low-slope roofs
• Comfortable evaluating imagery rather than conducting physical inspections
• HAAG certification preferred
• Experience with TPO, EPDM, metal, BUR, or modified bitumen
• Strong ability to articulate observations and their significance in the assessment process
