Commercial Surety Underwriter

Job Summary

Partnering with a regional leader, the full-time remote Executive Underwriter, Commercial Surety will conduct financial analysis and risk assessments to evaluate credit quality and underwriting acceptability while managing a book of business and developing strong relationships with producers.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyze information to evaluate credit quality and risk acceptability using appropriate underwriting techniques
• Develop and maintain relationships with assigned producers while identifying new business opportunities within the territory
• Continuously monitor assigned accounts for compliance and prepare underwriting submissions with recommendations and decisions

Required qualifications

• Minimum of three years of surety underwriting experience or equivalent related experience
• AFSB designation preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software products
• Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks effectively
