Commercial Title Underwriter

Job Summary

Seeking a seasoned National Commercial Title Underwriter for a fully remote role, who will provide underwriting support, assess risk in complex commercial real estate transactions, and ensure compliance with underwriting standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide underwriting support, counsel, and authorization related to real estate title insurance commitments and policies
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements through established underwriting standards
• Collaborate with internal teams to guide real estate settlement services and transaction structures, developing best practices in alignment with organizational standards

Required qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience in title insurance underwriting or comparable commercial real estate experience
• JD from an ABA-accredited law school required for Attorney Counsel position, with active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction
• General understanding of underwriting processes for real estate transactions and title insurance policies
• Familiarity with federal and state real estate laws and regulations
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risk and provide practical solutions
