Commercial Trucking Insurance Underwriter

Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Trucking Insurance Underwriter/Broker, the full-time position will evaluate, quote, and manage new and renewal business in the commercial auto and trucking sector while maintaining strong relationships with retail agency partners and carriers in a remote or hybrid environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal commercial trucking accounts, analyzing risk and making pricing recommendations
• Prepare market submissions and quote proposals, negotiating with carriers for competitive terms
• Monitor account performance, addressing billing and policy servicing issues in collaboration with internal teams

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial insurance underwriting or brokerage, preferably in trucking or commercial auto
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, or a related field preferred
• Active Property & Casualty license required; Surplus Lines license is a plus
• Professional designations (e.g., TRS, CIC, CPCU, AU) strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of agency management systems is a plus
