Commercial Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Commercial Underwriter I to evaluate business from an underwriting perspective and support the Commercial Auto product line.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform risk reviews and underwriting assessments for new business, renewals, endorsements, and reinstatements
• Make decisions on risk acceptability and serve as a point of contact for Customer Service and Backoffice teams
• Implement underwriting procedures to achieve growth and profit objectives and analyze data to inform pricing and underwriting decisions

Required Qualifications

• Early career professional with relevant experience in underwriting
• Ability to evaluate risks and make underwriting decisions
• Familiarity with Commercial Auto products and underwriting procedures
• Experience in analyzing internal and external data for business segments
• Willingness to collaborate with Senior Underwriters or Underwriting Manager on complex cases
