Commercial Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Commercial Underwriter - Business Owners Insurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business, including endorsements, inspection reviews, and premium audits
• Manually rate risks while understanding the components that drive pricing
• Train new underwriters on states, risk types, and complex underwriting issues

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher with a minimum of five years relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years relevant experience
• Experience in commercial lines, insurance industry, and/or underwriting
• Two years of Commercial Lines insurance experience preferred
• Two years of experience in Commercial General Liability, Commercial Property, or BOP Underwriting preferred
• Professional designations such as CPCU, CIC, or AU are a plus
