Job Summary

A company is looking for a Commercial Underwriter I.

Key Responsibilities

• Completes underwriting trainings and shadows experienced underwriters
• Evaluates basic accounts for risk selection and pricing purposes
• Communicates with agents and collaborates with marketing representatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in insurance or business administration, or equivalent experience
• Preferred insurance designations such as AINS, AU, CIC, or CPCU
• Basic knowledge of underwriting and risk analysis preferred
• Ability to work effectively both independently and with others
• Good computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
