Commercial Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Commercial Underwriter for their Business Owners Insurance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business, including processing endorsements and premium audits
• Manually rate risks and understand pricing components
• Train new underwriters on various states, risk types, and complex underwriting issues

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with two years of relevant experience
• Experience in commercial lines and underwriting
• Knowledge of state regulations and company policies
• Ability to perform extensive research related to underwriting
• Experience in training and mentoring new staff is preferred
