Commercial Underwriting Supervisor

Job Summary

Providing day-to-day leadership for an assigned team of Underwriters, the full-time Commercial Underwriting Supervisor will ensure underwriting quality, consistency, and productivity while supporting associates through coaching and performance oversight in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of Underwriters, ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines and operational expectations
• Coach Underwriting associates through file reviews and ongoing performance feedback
• Execute underwriting initiatives and monitor their adoption, effectiveness, and results

Required qualifications

• 7 years of experience in commercial multi-line underwriting
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field
• Completion of Associate in Underwriting program and CPCU designation preferred
• Ability to analyze data and identify trends for actionable insights
