Job Summary

Seeking a remote Freelance Contractor, the Communications & Fundraising Specialist (DevComm) will manage donor stewardship, grant writing, and advocacy communications while dedicating approximately 5-10 hours per week to support nonprofit clients focused on social justice issues.

Key responsibilities:

• Drafting short-form content such as newsletters, op-eds, and talking points with an activist voice
• Writing and editing grant applications and funder reports, ensuring a strong narrative arc
• Conducting personalized donor communications and managing donor stewardship touch points

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Demonstrable experience in nonprofit fundraising and progressive advocacy
• Familiarity with major progressive funding ecosystems and donor relationships
• Ability to create professional visual materials using platforms like Canva and Google Docs
• Comfort with tech-adjacent fields, including cybersecurity and information democracy
